Alan Wake II Release Date & Leaks

Posted on June 29, 2022June 29, 2022 By AcemanWolf

The release of Alan Wake II has been announced and we’re looking forward to this awesome sequel which might just become the successor to its predecessor. The first Alan Wake was released way back in 2010 and it incorporates the story of Wake and his Wife’s supernatural encounter near the town of Bright Falls in Washington.

Even since its release date, the game has been becoming excitingly popular and there are all sorts of DLCs available to enhance the game. But with the release of Alan Wake II, things might just change due to all the changes it brings to the table for us. So, let’s talk about it.

Alan Wake II Release Date

Alan Wake II is set to be released in 2023 as it was confirmed at The Game Awards in 2021. The game will be coming to PlayStation 5, Epic Games Story, and Xbox Series X and S in 2023. The company behind Alan Wake, Remedy, has worked a lot in order to bring the same Alan Wake experience back but we do know that the game is going to be an absolute gem when it comes to the graphics, storyline, and overall controls.

Alan Wake II Gameplay and Story – Everything We Know

The gameplay will be quite similar to the original title as it has been described as being a “psychological thriller and action” game. Even though the actual release date is still yet to be announced and we only know the year of the release, details are quite vague at this time.

The developers confirmed that Alan Wake II will be darker than before and will incorporate an overall evil vibe into the game.

The storyline will pick up from the last game and continue from there with many dark spots of Bright Falls that you missed in the last game. However, there aren’t a lot of details known but we do know that the game will get a huge graphics update so everyone is quite thrilled about that.

Alan Wake II’s trailer incorporates Wake roaming in the forest rather than the city and keeps moving on the side of a carnival but we don’t see a single human being anywhere. But at the end of the trailer, he says that “this story is a monster and monsters have many faces”.

Just from the overall setting of this game, it is the same to assume that there will be so many jump scares coming at you and the game will be released in 2023 since that’s confirmed.

Can You Pre-Order Alan Wake II?

Right now, it’s not available for pre-order but it is expected to be in the pre-order phase soon. Maybe in early 2023 or at the end of 2022. Things aren’t quite confirmed yet but looking at the trailer it’s right to assume that the game is ready to go.

Another thing that’s interesting about Alan Wake II is that it will most likely be available for PlayStation 5 and the game is already set to release on Xbox Series S/X and PC.
